Texas Legal Direct is a project of the Austin Community Law Center, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. It was created to expand access to legal services across Texas through remote, accessible, and client-centered representation—especially for communities least served.

The core of Texas Legal Direct’s mission is to make legal services radically more affordable. We charge sliding-scale fees based on our clients' income, below what most other attorneys charge.
Wills, medical and durable powers-of-attorney, special needs trusts, transfer on death deeds
We fight lawsuits, challenge improper fees and credit reporting, and bring counterclaims for illegal collection practices. We also file for bankruptcy.
Starting and structuring a business. Entity formation (LLC, corporation, nonprofit), ownership agreements, and basic contracts.
Family-based and humanitarian immigration. Green cards through family, VAWA petitions, U visas, asylum, and related protections.
