New Self Advocacy Tool to Address Housing Discrimination
Thanks to Disability Rights Texas, we've got a new tool to help fight housing discrimination.
The tool is called Housing Discrimination Complaint Generator and it will help people who believe their housing rights are being violated file complaints with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
This is an easy-to-use tool that is not Texas specific. You simply input your information into the Housing Discrimination Complaint Generator and submit. Shortly after, you will receive a completed form along with instructions for how to submit it to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Disability Rights Texas also has a complete list of the contact information for each HUD regional office.
